| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi China....I started to watch the show and did see the tribute ( recorded the rest to watch at a later time ) , i think its more a case of Mic settings by the team of '' engineers '' doing the sound plus there are certain types of Mic's for certain types of voices ( impedance , tononics = range of voice , tone of voice etc ) plus perhaps they have a '' marketing deal with a certain Company to only use there brand of Mic , for me its always been a Shure 58 (personal mic ) as i have a deep bass baritone voice and the ''58 allows a fullness to my voice , trusty reliable dependable delivery of tone especially when i do songs in a Minor key , it gives me total '' roundness of notes'' , of course a ''58 may not suite other voices so its always best to seek professional advice to see if your voice is suite to a ''' low or high impedance ' Mic ...But there are many good ''' all rounders '' on the market'' that are very suitable for the karaoke Genre..............I know a singer who only ever sings with a Shure 57 instrument Mic , it seems to just bring the best out of his voice ....
