| From the Where2sing.com forum: Luke Kelly was a VERY worthy 1st place winner in KWC comp on Sat night!!! He was truely amazing!!! And as a fellow finalist i think i can comment on that!! lol. I had a wonderful time competing with the other finalists and it was great to finally sing in a karaoke comp that was filled with massive talent!!! My congrats goes out to Luke and hopefully he will bring home the goods for Australia!!! Well done to Kieran too for coming 2nd!!! He was very theatrical in his approach!! I was also blown away by Qld finalist Shannon Lee!!! Amazing voice!!! Kat Flesfader from TAS was also fantastic and powerful in voice!! Johnno Davis from ACT gave us a very entertaining rendition of Sweet Transvestite, heels and all!!! Loved it, as did the audience!! Eddie Bosuen from WA had us all feeling extremely proud as he went out on stage in traditional Aboriginal dress and performed!!! AMAZING!!! One of my definate highlights! David Moore from NT rocked it with Bon Jovi and Darryl Braithwaites 'Horses'!! The men finalists were all very diverse in their choices!! This made the night extremely interesting and gave the judges something really to think about!! Bec Durbridge from FNQLD belted out 'Mickey' which i thought was a gamble...but it was fantastic!! Her rendition of Hallelujah was haunting and beautiful. Maria Geraghty from SA, was brilliant with her 'Cabaret' performances. Her wonderful personality alone was enough for her to be a winner in my eyes!! Some of you may remember her from Australia's Got Talent!! Finally but not least by any means was Michelle Colburt from Far West NSW..... What a powerful voice, goose bumps!!! And she gives great hugs too!! lol. All the finalists were very worthy of being there and it would have been a tough decision for the judges!!! Im very happy placing third!!! Im quite honoured to have sung in competition with them!!
The only problem that we all had was the sound for our first song....foldback was way too loud, but was fixed for our 2nd song!! Thats when the comp really heated up...I had no real problems and Kate from KWC was always around if we needed anything or questions to be answered..In all a great experience...
