I am the Dr you are referring to, and I found your comments quite amazing. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and also to vote with their feet - go to shows you like and not attend those you don't like.
The previous host at Altona you are referring to is Dennis (Westbound Entertainment), and he is currently doing Thursday nights at the Tudor Inn in Werribee on Thursday nights.
As Adam has already said, and I gladly admit to, I certainly have taken ideas from attending other people's shows and incorporating them into how we run our show. Bits from Adam, Aidy, Dave etc from Vegas, Peter D, Chris, Wolf, Davo, Teresa, Jacqui & Jodie, Michael, and many others. However, I believe we run a very different show than that of Wolf, for a start we always run with two hosts - one on the mic roving throughout the crowd, and one at the console cueing songs, fixing sound, etc.
This works well for us, and we must be doing something right as we are currently running Wednesday night in Williamstown, (weekly for over 2 years), Fridays at Altona, (now 3 of the 4 weeks each month - for over 12 months now), and Saturdays in Williamstown (weekly for over 2 years).
I'm surprised you didn't like our show, and would be very interested for you to tell us what it was in particular that you didn't like, as we should all take on board criticism if it is wellfounded and keep constantly trying to improve how we run our shows.
