| From the Where2sing.com forum: DISC OF SOUND EFFECTS: Is anyone aware of the availability of such a CD? If so, where can I get one?
A CD of 'sounds' - like thunder, rain on a tin roof, door bell ringing, door slamming, car screeching to a halt, screams. laughter ... and a few particular ones I am after ... a scale of bells or door chimes (like that used before an announcement is made at an airport terminal or at a shopping centre) …. the “jingle” used each time a basket is scored at basketball or when there’s a touchdown in gridiron …
I thought of incorporating such sounds, at appropriate times, at appropriate gigs, at appropriate venues ....
Would have been very useful to get some attention at the Kobe Osaka Australia Karaoke Championship I was MC'ing last Sunday - when there were 8 rings / events going on simultaneously, the pandemonium over which I had to make announcements for next events, make calls for missing competitors, introduce the 3 placegetters of each completed event as they mount the podiums for their medals (there were 48 events all up), repeat names of sponsors and their products throughout proceedings, make pleas for missing children / misplaced parents / lost grand-parents, etc.
